It’s Saturday night and we are closed on Sundays. We are closing up the shop and heading home for a much needed day off. As a business owner, this has been one of the most challenging weeks of my life. Every day there has been something that has made us stop to pause and consider the course we are taking. That’s not counting the emotional toll of how to handle our team, our processes, our furloughs, or our bills. It’s literally been full on survival mode.
I’d like to mention how incredibly proud I am of my team. Denali and Brittney have carried a lot of this stress and have been instrumental in setting up our delivery process on the fly and helped talk me off a ledge, when I was getting ready to jump. The entire team at Mabel’s has been patient and flexible with their schedules and their time.
I am proud to be a member of this community. Your love and support this week has been incredible to help keep us going during this trying time and I am immensely grateful for every single one of you who came in, called in, picked up, ordered delivery, or made a sweet comment on our never-ending social media posts. We wouldn’t be here without you and we are forever grateful. We will get thru this together. So, tonight - THANK YOU. We will continue to follow the instructions of the governor and will be back Monday morning to bring you lunch, dinner, and all your Mabel’s favorites for take out and delivery. And, hopefully this will all be over soon and we can get back to our regular routines. We miss you all! Stay safe and well. And most importantly, wash your hands. Jennifer xo
